It was never really my intention to write a children's book, but when I heard about how my Great Granddaughter had responded when told it was time to go to school, I began thinking of the three generations of children in our family who have loved spending time at the beach at our family cottage. My Great Granddaughter was 18 months old, and her response was, "NO! BEACH!". She had already become enchanted!
I have gotten great pleasure from hearing people's responses to my book, Many good memories have been revived.
I would be happy to talk about my writing journey with anyone who is interested.
From time-to-time I'll tell you about some of the things I learned when writing this book. For example, did you know that starfish can regrow an arm after they lose it?
